Faire has started for me this season and I was able to kick it off with a new gown.
I was not able to take many photos, but a big thank you to Kendra for taking this one.

I need to attatch the waist treatment and the shoulder rolls to the ivory bodice and then the gown is done. The Vic corset is all cut out. One side was almost done then I decided I could not live with the CF as it was. I had cut it a wee bit short, decided I could live with it, then the more I looked at it, decided I should redo it. *sigh*. I need to re pleat the red dress, hem it and then that is done. I *need* to finish my black doublet so I have something to wear over my kirtle. My *want to finish* list includes a blue kirtle to wear with my new blue doublet. That doublet is on the list as well. Just need to sew the bottom and figure out what I want to do for the shoulders.
In non-sewing/non-faire news, HG and I were at the waterpark with friends yesterday. What a good time. Got there just as the place opened and left 5 hours later. Got some sun and a bit of a burn on my back, but otherwise I am unscathed. HG has also decided to get her ears pierced. She's been hemming and hawing about it for a bit, but I finally convinced her it does not hurt more than just a quick pinch. HG and I were also up in the UP for the 4th of July weekend to see my family and just relax for a bit. It was too quick, but it was nice. Got to actually see my family this time too. Usually when we go up, everyone is running from event to event (the 4th is BIG in my neck of the woods!) and we see each other, but don't get to sit and talk. This time we did and it was nice. Not much else but life going on. Sewing. There's alot of that going one too. :) Best Friends

You are really here? I don't see you.. LOL. I hope all is going well for you and you are making it to all the faires in Michigan as you can. I have one more weekend left here up north performing before i get to even Bristol. I may by chance make Silverleaf again since I heard new news of different management. Would be nice to see you again.
